JUNE  2017 –  GUNILLA PETERSSON

“HOME”

A story about longing in time and space.

All my works starts with sketches in small scales, daybook notes in collage-drawing technic.

My ambition and interest is to give a serious, reflecting and humorous description of human life, behaviours, attitudes and qualities. I have no under laying drawing behind the warp. The materials are wool on linen warp. A great adventure is now in front of me, tread by tread and by mixing yarn the creative process continuously transforms the small sketch into the final tapestry i am aiming at.

I am fabulouting. Simple figures and animal creatures behaves as mutes to tell a story which give the observer something to consider about.

I know where to go, to go there is the most interesting part in creating a new tapestry.
